You’ve probably noticed that I’ve been going back and forth between various themes. Thing is, the person who made the plaintxtblog-theme I was using is about to call it quits, which means it won’t be developed in the future. So I’ve decided to stick with the WordPress-classic theme, and just modify it to my own liking. Apologies for the nutty swapping between themes.

I got caught the same way a while back, theme author decided not to update his older themes for WP2.7+, I actually found it a helpful thing since it forced me to sort things out :-)
I just wanted to mention that the theme I now use, Atahualpa, is very good as a basis for customisation because it’s theme options screen(s) allow quick customising of pretty much everything. 1, 2 or 3 columns? it’s a dropdown box! It has dialogs for adding custom HTML to headers, footers, etc.. There are text inputs allowing you to add stylesheet overrides to most standard elements, + lots more. Basically I was expecting to have to do a lot of work with the theme editor, but I have not needed to; everything I need has been covered in the theme options screens instead. Greatly simplifying upgrades ;-)
