A former colleague of mine recently mentioned that he had switched blogging-platforms, from WordPress to Octopress. He told me some wonderful things about it, which of course made me curious. The more I tried it, the more I wanted to move on from WordPress. WordPress is great, but it keeps taking big chunks of resources from the server it runs on, that and the database that WordPress depends on.

I’ve fixed most of the issues that came with the migration to Octopress, but there are still some images missing, and I still need to modify the CSS for this site to keep it up to speed with what Octopress really can do.
